Using the videos we created in the previous unit we are tasked with creating an advertisement based on our "clients" needs. After watching their "film" I have created this lookbook.

Color theory, font pairings and film poster design helped me build a narrative in my poster. A good film poster needs to relate to the film in some way, so the design thinking process helped me revise how the poster and its film should be connected. 

I learned the pros and cons of using 3D text in Photoshop, which I will not be doing again. 

I used Photoshop to blend my images together and draw other scenes over them. This was the first time I had used the blur tool, and it was quite a challenge. I ended up have to create many new layers to make the transition more seamless.

 Although it's not a great representation of my abilities and full creative scope I think I did a good job considering the quality of the video it was based on. I definitely could have created a more interesting poster if my partners video was more interesting. The video lacked a story and emotions, so it was hard to give the gray cement and bland buildings any feelings. In the future I will definitely get a better understanding of my client before committing.
